Anthony Coxeter is an Australian historian, playwright and dramaturge from Meanjin. He was recently the 2023-2024 Western Australian Fulbright Scholar, for which he was based in New York working on the history of international law and conducting archival research at the United Nations Headquarters, with academic affiliations between Leiden University in the Netherlands and Fordham University in New York City. Since 2018, Anthony has writing the first authorised biography of Dr. José Ramos-Horta, the East Timorese Independence leader and Nobel Peace laureate.
One of the founding circle of co-editors of The Lifted Brow literary journal, Anthony has held various arts positions alongside his scholarly work as a contributing Committee Member at the Melbourne Cinematheque, and as a writer for Phillip Adams AO on Late Night Live at ABC RN. In 2014, he self-produced a feature on Goethe's Wilhelm Meister for ABC RN, and has been an invited moderator at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin as a part of its Demokratietag series.
Since 2013, his artistic work has been primarily as a dramaturge for a number of choreographers in contemporary dance. This has been the basis of long-term creative partnership with Adelina Larsson Mendoza through a series of four works (No Place, 2013; In the Rite I, 2016; In the Rite II: 2019; In the Rite III, 2020). 'In the Rite II' - the only solo of the trilogy - premiered in Perth at the State Theatre of Western Australia as a part of Laura Boynes's 'WW', and it was the recipient of an Australian Dance Award in 2019. Other noteworthy collaborators include Annette Carmichael, Chrissie Parrott, Janine Oxenham, Katie West, Margie Medlin, Julie-Anne Long, Ella-Rose Trew, Timothy Green, James O'Hara, and Andrew Morrish; and with social arts producer Annette Carmichael on the multi-site performance work Distributed15.
Combining dramaturgical practice and pedagogy, he has run classes and workshops in the Contemporary Dance stream at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2016 and 2021. Anthony has also held numerous residencies, most recently at Critical Path Choreographic Centre in 2018, HEART Margaret River in 2021 for the development of stagework co-written about the life of H.C. 'Nugget' Coombs supported by Regional Arts WA, and in Vitlycke, Sweden, as a dramaturge on Larsson Mendoza’s ‘Min Folkdans’. Min Folkdans has led to the creation of In the Rite IV, which premiered at Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center in Long Island New York in 2024, and ‘Bell’, which premiered at PICA in 2025 as a commissioned dance work. He works and lives on the land of the Wardandi people, the traditional custodians of Wooditjup Margaret River in the South West of Western Australia.

Adelina Larsson Mendoza is an award-winning Swedish/Mexican choreographer, curator, producer and teacher. She has choreographed, performed and directed for performing arts companies presenting at Melbourne Festival, Perth Festival, Sydney Opera House, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Museum of WA Boola Bardip, Fremantle Art Centre, State Theatre Centre WA and ACT.
Adelina is founder of Strange Attractor Lab, a nationally-scoped artist residency program that provides infrastructure for artists to share practice and engage with institutions like CSIRO, Powerhouse Museum (Sydney), Sydney Environment Institute and Critical Path Choreographic Centre that invites the general public into critical discourse.
Adelina is the recipient of Australian Dance Award (2019), WA Regional Artist Fellowship (2021) and Fremantle Art Center’s highly competitive 3-month residency 'Groundwork' (2023) and in 2024 the world-renowned director Robert Wilson selected Adelina to create an original work for The Watermill Center Summer Benefit Gala in New York, and perform alongside the iconic choreographer Lucinda Childs' 'Radial Courses' (1976).
In parallel with her own work, Adelina has equally excelled as an activator and producer for arts in broader community contexts. Since 2013 Adelina has worked with Australia's leading arts and social change company Big hART as Associate Director, Associate Producer and Choreographer contributing to the creative direction of the company’s national programs, creating a range of original cross-disciplinary works for major festivals.
With experience initiating sector development projects, Adelina was invited by Critical Path Choreographic Centre as their Associate Artist 2017-2019 to drive international and cultural exchange programs and invite artists that create works that discuss marginalised communities, socio-political landscapes, climate change and body politics, connecting them to regional and interstate networks.
Between 2020-2024 Adelina was part of the Edith Cowan University staff cohort with Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts as Lecturer and Unit Coordinator in the Bachelor of Arts (Dance) Program. During her tenure she contributed to the design and delivery of the new BA Dance Course.
Sia Ahmad is a songwriter, artist, improviser, curator and facilitator. Over the last two decades, she has brought an outsider's eye and DIY ethos to the way she brings communities together. With a rich and extensive background in Australian music, Sia has been creating idiosyncratic sounds over the last decade and more. Using guitar, keyboard, voice and electronics, she works both as singer/composer and improviser, when performing as Shoeb Ahmad, as well as collaborative projects.
Once of acclaimed electronic jazz outfit Tangents and an APRA AMCOS Art Music Award winner, Sia has performed and released a diverse range of original music throughout Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Europe and South Eastern Asia.
An Art Music Awards winner and Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address lecturer, Sia has released a wide spectrum of original music around the world alongside her commissioned work in sound design, installation pieces, and contemporary classical composition. Her creative practice brings together the punk-first approach of her youth with an exploratory take on her Bangladeshi heritage.
In parallel to her role as Director of MusicACT, Sia also manages the Artist Accelerator Program for Music In Exile. She is currently a board director for the Australian Music Centre and Earshift Music, previously having served on the boards of the Australian Art Orchestra and Girls Rock! Canberra. From 2018 to 2021, she was a member of the ACT Ministers’ Creative Council and the LGBTIQA+ Ministerial Advisory Council.
Sia has been a key-collaborator with Adelina and Anthony since 2012 developing concepts and creating the soundscores for the choreographic and installation works; No Place, Watch Me Disappear, In the Rite: Solo, Standard Candle, and the most recent choreographic commission by Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts - Bell.
